Aug 31, 2020 Assembly Of Stoeger Coach Gun Just bought a Stoeger Coach & cannot seem to assemble it. Two ears pivot on the front of the action, they get in the way when I try to put the forearm in place. Warning: This is a relatively older thread This discussion is older than 360 days. Some information contained in it may no longer. It looks like the Coach Gun has two triggers. Both of my doubles have two triggers, which I very much prefer, but probably because I grew up shooting that way. My son's over/under Weatherby has a single trigger that is selective. The term “coach gun” is a generic description for a side-by-side shotgun with an 18-20 inch barrel. It is called a coach gun because it was widely used by stage coach guards in the Wild West days. Stoeger Coach: Single and Double Trigger Shotguns
The Stoeger Coach gun comes in single or double triggers. The double triggers are the standard ones, giving you the choice of barrels between its improved cylinder and modified chokes. Though it takes a bit of getting used to, I personally like the double triggers and how this beauty provides you the liberty to select the best one to use depending on the situation.
